Party Time

We celebrated Peyton's birthday a week early with her friends this morning.

We met at the playground and started with a wild game of kickball. Aunt Kristi and Uncle Wayne were required to play and Peyton requested Uncle Wayne be on her team. :)Then, we walked back to our house for lunch, cupcakes and a couple games. The menu was all Peyton's requests: sandwiches, pirate booty, fruit and soda!

Gavin

Peyton has a new buddy. His name is Gavin and he lives directly behind us. They spent HOURS (and I'm not exaggerating) talking to each other over the fence. She sits on the top of the swingset...and he looks over the fence. They also carpool to school together, play with each other in kindergarten recess and have playdates. But every day they talk over the fence.

On Sunday Gavin's mom took Maddie & Peyton to the park to play. When they dropped off Peyton, Gavin said "as soon as you get inside, go to the backyard". Peyton did, and they proceeded to talk for another hour (this is after being together at the park).

Last night I had to shut Peyton's window so she would go to bed instead of talking to him out her window. It's darling, but I hope they don't get sick of each other. Or rather, I hope one of them doesn't get sick of the other one. : )
