Seattle Tournament

 Just home from a fun, but exhausting weekend in Seattle for a volleyball tournament.  Maddie's team played some great games and ended up taking 3rd place in their bracket.  It's a nice group of girls and parents and all in all a success.

We drove to Seattle Saturday morning to get there in time for a 2:30 game.

Jeannine, Ron ans Haley came to watch a game and take Peyton for the night so she could have some fun too!

Jim and I visited Megan & Chris's, went out for a fun lunch with them and then they came to cheer on Maddie too!

We watched 4 matches Saturday, 3 matches Sunday and two matches Monday.  I also played around with my phone camera during those games.  :)

The most surprising bonding of the weekend was the Simmons' new kitten Roscoe & Jim.  Jim is typically allergic, but the kitten loved him and it was mutual.

Thanksgiving 2010

We spent Thanksgiving in Seattle this year at with all of Jim's family. We had a wonderful dinner and lots of fun family time at Jeannine & Ron's.

The girls had fun playing with their cousin Haley and spent HOURS playing with their new Kinect game. The Wii is old school compared to this.

Here's a pic of our time at a nearby park just before Grampy started a big snow ball fight with any random snow they could find that hadn't already melted!

Birthday Part 2

We continued to celebrate Maddie's birthday at Grammy's house today.

Family Dinner

Tonight we had dinner at Jack & Dianne's--Ron, Jeannine & Haley were here visiting and Jeannette joined us as well. Delicious dinner and we took Haley home with us for a sleepover.

Cousin Haley was in town for Thanksgiving this year. We stole her away from Ron & Jeannine for a night. The three girls had a sleepover in Maddie's room and then went swimming today to burn off some energy. It was great to have you, Haley!

Early Birthday

A wonderful dinner tonight at Jack & Dianne's to celebrate an early birthday for Jack & Jill...and also some landscaping for Mother's Day. Fun to be together. If only I had a picture of the dog fight, Steve's sore foot & Dianne's face when they showed her the landscaping plan! : )
