The Week in Review

Abe & Beti came over for lunch on Sunday and a run through the sprinkler.

Aiden & Mason hung out with us on Monday while we went to the orthodontist...

...and to get ice cream.

Megan joined us for a swim and a smoothie at SAC.

Had a evening frisbee toss.

Beach Day

We drove down to Cannon Beach for the day on Saturday.  It was sunny and beautiful!

Camping 2012

This weekend was our annual camping trip.  Had a great time despite a rainy Saturday!

Last weekend Debbie & Erik had us over to celebrate Debbie & Ronette's birthdays.  Lots of kids, good food and great friends.

The Montana Grizzlies were in town last night playing Portland State. We all went to cheer them on with our friends the Kolas. Peyton fit right in with her Grizzly sweatshirt--which is her uniform lately anyway.

Looking Back

Some great neighbors of ours just moved across the country because of a job change. We were all sad to see them go. Peyton was really good friends with their son, Aiden, so she is especially sad.

His mom sent some photos of their going away ice cream party with the neighbors and thought they were cute enough to share.

Summer Days

The summer days are coming to an end. Trying to not make them too exciting or they won't be excited for school. But I realize I haven't posted in a while :)

Today, Peyton had 2 neighbor friends over for lunch and a movie. They had a lemonade stand together earlier this summer and wanted to spend their profits. They watched a Christmas movie in August, but seemed to love it.

Summer Fun

We had a busy day today, beginning with tennis at 8am. Wanted to try out Peyton's new racket and all the courts were busy the other morning at 9am. So, we decided we needed to be up and out early! Here's Pey showing her stuff.

And then they tried out the new playground equipment. This afternoon, we went to Voodoo Donuts. Something on Maddie's summer bucket list. It was very urban and very funky, but Maddie swears it was as good as the hype. She got a donut with crushed oreos, chocolate frosting and peanut butter. Peyton got a maple bar with bacon strips on it. You can tell by Peyton & Aiden's expression, that it was a little funkier than typical life in Beaverton. :)

Luau Party

Peyton celebrated her 8th birthday party today with a Hawaiian/Water party.

The kids painted flower pots, played games led by the 3 older girls (thanks girls, you did great!), ate snowcones and got wet in the slip-n-slide. Peyton can pretty much count on a sunny birthday. Today was no exception, I think it was 94 degrees.

All the kids got wet and I think it was a success.
